GoBus is a fictitious project that consists of a bus app and its own microsite, allowing users to have a more enjoyable and less stressful time riding buses around Singapore.
Some context on this project: it was assigned to my team and me in 2017, while I was a second-year interaction design student.
When developing this bus app, my team's primary goal was to provide customers with a comfortable journey to unexpected destinations throughout Singapore.
We decided to address this issue by creating an app that allows users to observe the virtual bus stop where they want to alight, as well as the necessary information for their trip, in addition to the typical bus arrival times.
When designing the branding for this project, we used hues popularly associated with Singapore buses in order to make this app universal and intuitive for our customers.
For the app, we search for inspiration from existing bus applications, noting what we like and what may be improved for each so that we can have a guideline for what we want our bus app to be like so that our users have a positive user experience.
We wanted the microsite to be basic and transparent while providing adequate information for our users.
I led, designed, and coded for this project.
As the leader, I manage the team's work throughout the project's schedule by organizing weekly meetings to ensure we are all on the same page and have everything ready by the deadline.
As the lead designer and coder, I help the other designers create the branding, color scheme, and wireframes. I coded the app myself, while another team member worked on the microsite.
