Pangkangloh
Pangkangloh is a fictitious app targeted towards retirees in Singapore. It aims to encourage retirees to be active by going out and socialising with individuals who share their interests, keeping them both socially and physically active.
2018 design
Thought Process
This app was created as part of an assignment for my third-year Interaction Design class in 2018. I decided to update this app after a long time.
Looking back on my previous design, I saw some major areas for improvement, including delving further into the main app aim and overall app design.
Design Process
Looking through the previous app mockups, I believed that it was not made with enough thought for the users, which could lead to confusion when they used the app, so I went back and evaluated it, revamping it in the process.
Looking back to the core purpose (to keep retirees physically and socially active), I believed that outdoor activities met both of these needs, so I opted to prioritize the activities over the chatroom, which was the primary focus of the previous app design.
